                                           12 Steps to a Spring Detox
#1 
Buy a yellow legal pad. Write down everything you eat or drink.
 
Find a friend to join you in your detox (detoxing is for everyone, not just for fat loss)
 
Buy 1 pound of brown or golden whole Flax seed. Grind the Flax in a coffee bean grinder.
I start & end my day by adding between 1 Tbsp -1 rounded Tbsp of ground Flax Seed to
a glass of lemon water or cranberry water.

Buy a bottle of plain CLOROX bleach. Follow the "Gov't food soak" at the Public Info page.
 
Drink filtered, Rev Osmosis or distilled H2o. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces a day.
 
If you drink alcohol stay away from beer and wine instead drink VODKA or Tequila.
If you smoke cigs switch to un-adulterated organic tobacco cigs (American Spirit brand)

Buy organic coffee. Big grocery stores sell organic/fair trade coffee for around $7 a pound. 
Use brown unbleached filters. Stop using white coffee filters.
 
Start removing "white" foods from your diet. Eliminate one white food a week for 6 weeks.
Sugar, flour, bread, corn meal, milk, dairy, potatoes.

Use your "DO OVER" button if you have given up. If I can do it you can do it. In the movie
"Stripes" Bill Murray said to John Candy, "Your gonna be a lean, mean, fighting machine."
Get back in line & go back to step 1 soldier, boot camp starts Friday March 19th at 0600.

Start adding colorful vegetables & fruits to your diet. Add two colors a week for the next 6 weeks.
Best Veggies:
Asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower,celery, cucumbers, dark greens like Kale, red/purple onions, red/purple/green cabbage, red/green/orange peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes, parsley, zucchini.
Best Fruits:
Green Apples, raspberries, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, lemons, limes, pears, peaches.

Sleeping a min of 6 hours and a max of 8 hours is normal for adults. Best case scenerio is to go
to bed 3 hours sfter sunset.
 
To kill bed bugs place your pillow in a plastic bag and place in your
deep freezer for 24-48 hours. Wash all linens once a week in non-toxic detergent (ECOS or 7th
Generation are good brands) and use that Clorox brand bleach I told you to buy in step # 1.
 
I add extra magnesium to my diet before bed (300mg) to relax my muscles and help me sleep.

Exercise. Min 5 minutes a day working up to no more than 25 minutes at a time.
Very light exercise is all I needed initially to keep things moving in the right direction.
Learn to swing your arms when you walk, just like the monkeys in the zoo.
(Left leg forward, right arm swings back, right leg forward, left arm swings back)
Observe how people walk this week. Many of us forgot how to walk naturally.

Breathing. Sounds simple enough. Try this to increase oxygen and relieve stress.
Lay on your back and breathe as you normaly would. Watch your diaphram go up and down.
What is your chest doing? Practice diaphram breathing when stressed.
The 464 methode.
Breathe in thru your nose for 5 seconds, hold your breath for a count of 6, exhale thru your
mouth to a count of 7. A relax technique I like when the world has me in a hurry is a centering
technique I call quarter, nickle, dime. Lay on your back put your hands on your navel and
imagine there is a quarter on your navel, (now do a 464 breathe) after exhale imagine that
quarter became a nickle, (do another 464 breath) after exhale imagine that nickle is a dime,
(one more 464 breath). Begin with a round of 3. And work up to 3 rounds of 3.

The Lymphatic system is your Livers drainage system. Vital to fat loss and great health. 
Your lymphatic is not automatic. Unlike your heart your Lymphatic system has no pump.
Invest in a "Dry Brush", (a medium-firm brush with "natural" bristles)
  
First:Spend 1 min relaxing your primary lymph ducts. Located just below your left & right
collarbone and in your groin areas. Use gentle pressure when massaging those areas.
                            Always stroke towards your Heart while drybrushing.
Start drybrushing on the soles of your feet. Apply medium pressure in a circular motion.
Move up your legs using short, upward strokes brushing over your butt and stomach.
Repeat technique on the palms of your hands head up your arms over around your neck
over your shoulders down your back and down your chest area. Stroke toward the Heart.

Protein.
 
How much?
Women: 20 grams per meal. Men: 30 grams per meal. Approx. to activate metabolism.
1 ounce cooked meat = 7 grams / 1 egg = 6 - 7 grams
 
What kind:
Prescription Ultra Free,  Grass fed beef, Bison, Omega 3 Fish, Organic eggs, Whey Powder
(Maltodextrin free), Free range poultry and Pea powder.
 
On average humans need 20-30 grams of protein per meal to turn on their metabolism.
 
Eat less than 20 grams and you may be running on empty, more than 30 and you could fool
your body into believing your running on empty resulting in fat storage and fatigue.
 
Why not Soy: Soy is an incomplete protein; simply because of its poor amino acid profile. Yes,
Soy is touted as a health food mostly because of the news reports of long living Asians living
in the "Blue Zones" , the truth is most Japanese women consume much lower quantities of pure
Soy than the rest of us. Lets face it, semms like Soy and Soy isolates are in most everything we eat.
Soy is everywhere. Personaly, as a Man, I avoid Soy.

Cravings? What is your Kryptonite?
Half of us crave salty / crunchy foods and the other crave Sweet / smooth foods. Me: Potatoe chips!
 
Lets cut to the chase. If you want to contral food cravings supplements with:
 
325-400 millagrams of Evening primrose oil, Borage oil or Black currant seed oil.
 
Omega 3 flax oil: 1 Tbsp per meal.
 
Ground flax or Chia seed: 1 rounded Tbsp am and pm in a 8 ounce glass water.
 
Sip lemon or lime water, apple cider vinegar water or unsweet cranberry water 6-8 oz/ hour.
